The Mundo Maps Team

Ezra Owen is always finding a better way to do things. He lives by his “there’s gotta be a shortcut” mantra. He has a degree in GIS as well as a thesis-eternally-pending graduate degree in Remote Sensing. He spent a summer in 2002 collecting data on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and now puts his Remote Sensing knowledge to good at Leica Geosystems as a quality assurance engineer. He most recently works with the defense related geospatial software, but don’t ask him to reposition satellites to take pictures of your backyard, that’s not in his job description. Ezra is also a scoutmaster who actually looks forward to spending a week with 12 and 13 year old scouters during the summers. Like Clay and Brooks, Ezra is an outdoor enthusiast and looks forward to the day the REI dividend comes in. His top three feeds in his feed reader are Planet Geospatial, Lifehacker, and Backcountry. Ezra lives with his wife Crystal and unusually midsized dog Brie in Roswell, Ga.

Clay Wood is the guy that was given the perfect name. He has a degree in Foresty which makes him the “Hey, what kind of tree is that?” guy. As the co-author of Fogo Networks Inc, Clay has added “geek” to his outdoor resume. So when he’s not counting tree rings he’s counting your PC’s clock speed. Every chance he gets he’s in the forest. He is an active member of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and regularly makes tracks there. Clay has designed and produced trail maps for Douglas County Parks. He also dabbles in website design and development. The top sites in his feed reader are Google Maps Mania, Ars Technica, BetaNews, and Instructables. Clay lives in Carrollton with his wife Summer, two girls Lily and Macy, and canine companion Ty.

Brooks Snow is an IT professional, small business owner and extremely adept conversationalist. Brooks has been in the IT industry for 10 years where he has become a jack-of-all trades including programming, IT support, and system administration. As the braintrust behind Fogo Networks Inc. he has brought this start-up from a one man show to burgeoning networking firm that can do anything from setting up your in-home wireless network to configuring constrained delegation on your virtual server. Brooks is interested in everything you are interested in which lends to his “knows a lot about a lot of stuff” persona. He is a scoutmaster which forces him to keep his toten’ chip up to date and also adds to his personal camping quota. The sites that get the most traffic in his feed reader are BetaNews, 4Sysops, and LinuxDevices. Brooks, his wife Jacki, and new born baby Jordyn live in Douglasville, Ga.
